People have amazing ideas for Christmas lights, including great lights set to the latest Trans Siberian Orchestra song or illustrating a story in the Bible. But one of the best designs that is hitting YouTube is someone’s depiction of Angry Birds via Christmas lights.
The design runs on two computers, 10 Light-o-rama 16 channel controllers, uses more than 20,000 lights and less than one cent of electricity per game. Audio is broadcast through the radio and people who drive by can actually play the game via a controller setting on the sidewalk.
Here is a video of the lights in action:

One of the fun and geeky things I look forward to doing with my child next Christmas (he or she won’t be born till March) is tracking Santa Claus.
For the past 50 years, NORAD has been tracking him.
Before the age of the Google, children could call into a special telephone number on Christmas Eve, an Air Force officer would answer, and they be able to tell you where he is.
Now that we have the power of Google Maps, we are able to track him instantaneously!
This year, Google has gone the extra mile and added two new features.
First, you can now find Santa on your mobile phone by simply searching ‘Santa’ on the Google Maps app. Secondly, for a 3D version, open up Google Earth, install a 3D plugin (found here) and you can see him and his reindeer.
Watch this YouTube clip made by NORAD on this fun and festive app.
Merry Christmas Everyone
We hope that you have a very merry and blessed Christmas that is full of joy, love, hot chocolate, and God’s grace!

I love finding unique cards during the Christmas season to share the joy of the season with my friends.
Here are several great cards for all your geeky friends:

Here are two more games to play at youth group that can easily turn a good Christmas service into a great one. The best part about these games is that while they are challenging, the teens love it! This may also be the best way to hand out those old t-shirts you still have stored up as prizes.
