Youthmin.org Roundtable #11
If you did not know, I am one of the original contributors over at YouthMin.org and have loved to see the website grow from an idea to a flourishing resourced website for youth workers.
Several times a month, we are going to have a hangout and discuss some key social media topics that you are asking. The idea behind it is several of the contributors get on Google+ Hangout already to simply hangout and build community, so we decided to make it a little more formal, answer some questions, and make it a resource for you. App of the Week: Overgram
This is the sixteen article in the series App of the Week series.
Mobile photo editors are an attractive iOS app as people are taking tons of pictures on the fly. Some of the big leaps in ministry and blogging now require that we use these images as quick as possible which requires that we have great photo editors. Recently, I had my computer crash and needed a photo app that would allow me to overlay text on my photos for the featured image. So here is our review of Overgram.
When It All Came Crashing Down
The unfortunate news is that Sunday evening my laptop crashed and never recovered. It amazes me how fragile our technology can be while at other times other tech seems to survive everything. (i.e. an iPhone that your one year old son sends flying across the room) Thankfully I did backup the hard drive recently with Apple’s Time Machine, but I did lose some precious Easter photos of my son and a few Seminary papers due soon.
Blogging Strategy: March 2013 Review
This year is the year of growing into the brand as last year was a strong year of simply establishing who we were, networking to get the name out, and creating some great content for 78P and the other blogging friends that we love. It should also be noted that these are all of our goals for the blog, including how we will use social media as well as network with other bloggers and viewers. We want to take the finest parts of our blog that have the greatest potential for growth and so we are putting all of our eggs in this basket.

Churchmag Hangout #06: Communicating with Technology
I love the idea of several Christian-oriented nerds discussing in a very informal setting tech of some sort that may be beneficial for churches, bloggers, missionaries, and any other kind of ministry out there. To do this well, we are going to have hangouts every other Saturday (or so) at 10AM EST that will be On Air for all to see live and then we will be posting the YouTube video on ChurchMag.
